First Holy Communion

Resurrection of the Lord Parish

On May 15, children preparing for their First Holy Communion gathered with their parents for a retreat. The day started with a healthy breakfast. The students then created posters expressing how they felt about the Sacrament. They used words like “Amen,” “Peace” and “I love Jesus,” and colored pictures to depict the Eucharist. During the retreat, the youths received a narrative tour of the church. “My favorite part of the tour was learning about the different color robes Father Paul uses.” said Nelson Weyl. The retreat ended with a heartwarming prayer. Thank you to Yuko Ornellas for coordinating this event. (Reported by Marlene Tamayo-Ishikawa)
