Aloha PSM Network! This Sunday, the Diocese will be hosting an Inter-Faith Prayer Service at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace from 1:00-1:30 PM. “I was a stranger, You welcomed me” is our prayerful commitment to bringing the community together, united in compassion and care as we give witness to Jesus for our dear neighbor. The different homeless programs, primarily those in Honolulu, are being invited to attend this service of reconciliation and recommitment. Yes, the River Street Residences (Housing First Project) is what brought us to the table, but we are truly at the “let go and let God” crossroad which is why we need your prayers and your presence. Please share the attached flyer and information sheet with your ministry partners and invite them to come along. Just so that you know, Mayor Hannemann will be participating in our service. Timely, for sure, but we trust there are NO COINCIDENCES WITH GOD. We have invited members of the Chinatown community and pray that they will accept our invitation. After the service, we plan to take a walk down Beretania to River Street – to the site of the proposed Housing First Project. We put our trust in God that whomever is meant to live there (the site of such fearful contention), will indeed be provided a place to call “home.” We will say a prayer of hope and peace and then disburse. Won’t you join us for this prayerful time of reconciliation and peaceful unity? If you have any questions, please call Sister in the office at 203-6734 or my cell at 226-3678. Blessings! Iwie and Sr. Roselani
