From the desk of Father Paul
There are many highlights that the Parish celebrates over the course of the liturgical year. Not only Christmas and Easter, but every Sunday celebration is (should be) very special to God's people. Then, so is the celebration of the Sacraments, especially when being received for the first time. Over the next several weeks, we will be celebrating the conferral of the Sacrament of Confirmation and Eucharist. On Saturday, April 24th, Bishop Larry Silva will be here to celebrate the 5:15 pm Mass and confer the Sacrament of Confirmation upon 22 of our young people. This is a celebration for these 22 young men and women who have worked hard for two years learning and practicing their faith in preparation for this moment. It is also a celebration for the entire parish family of ROL as we welcome them into the fullness of the life of the Holy Spirit and the life of the Church. I hope that all who usually attend the 5:15 pm Mass will not stay away because it will be a bit longer than usual. Come and celebrate and rejoice with them. On May 22nd, also at the 5:15 pm Mass, we will celebrate our young children's reception of the Eucharist for the first time.

  1. Nice to see Father Paul again! He was our priest at Sacred Hearts, Punahou a while back.
